I’ve had a fellow with whom I advertise tell me that I shouldn’t give people the impression that the services I provide or the windows I install are “cheap”. Lacking an adequate response to whatever scuttlebutt can be picked up at the local diner, or bar, I’ll tell you, the web browser, that I’ve had more than one customer tell me that my total cost was the cost of the other fellow’s labor. Now, I can charge more for my goods and services if that will make you feel better. Or, if you think a local “Yooper” is beneath you, I can make up some labels, made in Japan or some other country suitable to you, or maybe one that says the product was purchased somewhere else. I aim to please. Cheap? That’s a judgment and prone to prejudice.
You could simply browse the customer list below—people who have called me once have called me again. Am I wrong to charge what I feel is a competitive price? No, not at all.
Are my services too “cheap”? Like I said, I can charge more, just for you, if you’d like to pay more. Or, you can check with those listed below—if you’re looking for a bad report, Lord knows you can find one if you look hard enough—but if you want an honest answer, seek, learn, ask. I’m more than willing to answer whatever questions you have and provide you, with more than “the only authorized” answer in the Keweenaw.
Eventually, I will start coming up in price and I believe I can do that and still remain more than competitive. Now, I may not have graduated school with you, nor is it likely that I am a member of your congregation, but I sleep well at night…often, I fall asleep on the couch after supper.
